TATTOO AND PIERCING WITH PRINCESS

WHAT IS TATTOOING

A tattoo is a form of body modification made by inserting tattoo ink, dyes, or pigments into the skin.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

Tattoos typically take 2-4 weeks to heal on the surface, but it can take 3-6 months to fully heal. The tattoo healing process typically involves a week of redness and oozing, followed by 2-3 weeks of itchiness and peeling. After about a month, the skin still internally heals.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

  1. Don't Drink Alcohol.

  2. Avoid Sunburns and Tanning.

  3. Skip Over-the-Counter Blood Thinners

  4. Avoid Impulsive Decisions

  5. Say No to Excessive Caffeine

  6. Avoid Going in “Hangry”

  7. Hydration is Good.

DOES IT HURT?

Everyone's pain tolerance varies. While receiving tattoos may be uncomfortable, you should still be able to tolerate it well. If you start feeling lightheaded, uncomfortable, or need a break to stretch, just say so!

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR TATTOO

Once your tattoo is complete, your artist will cover up the art by either taping plastic wrap around it or placing a clear, medical-grade bandage, like Saniderm or SecondSkin, on top of it. Make sure you always keep your tattoo clean. You may use a gentle non scented soap on the area, followed by patting the area dry, and then applying some tattoo cream or ointment. Your Artist will let you know what topical ointment to keep on your tattoo to keep it moisturized. It is important to only use a thin layer of ointment. Your tattoo needs to have some oxygen flow, or else you may risk infection.

COSMETIC TATTOO  (permanent makeup)

WHAT IS COSMETIC TATOO OR PERMANENT MAKEUP

Cosmetic tattooing is a modern form of permanent cosmetics in which the technician uses a hand held tool to manually create hyper-realistic hair strokes for eyebrows, or a tattoo machine to create shading for more depth or definition within the tattoo. While cosmetic tattooing is a permanent service, results typically last 1-3 years depending on skin type and aftercare compliance.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?

The healing process of all cosmetic tattooing is typically 4-6 weeks. Minor swelling and irritation is normal, and the tattoo will appear darker than normal for 2-5 days. It is normal for the color to flake off and appear softer and less visible during the healing process, but the pigment will reappear in the following days.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?

Before your appointment, please be sure to avoid blood thinners, alcohol, ibuprofen, and any other pain relievers 24-48 hours before your appointment. Caffeine the day of the procedure may increase discomfort levels and blood flow. Exercising before the tattooed area is done flaking will result in poor healed results. Retin A and fish oil must be stopped at least 10 days prior to the service. Botox administered within three weeks before the appointment will result in a reschedule.

DOES IT HURT?

While everyone's pain tolerance varies, clients are numbed with topical numbing cream prior to the procedure, and another numbing solution throughout. Some clients still feel some discomfort during these procedures.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

Proper aftercare will save your pigment from fading. Typically, permanent makeup will last 1-3 years. This however, can be affected by the use of harsh topical skin care around the area, unprotected UV exposure, and improper aftercare. It is recommended to get a 6-8 week touch up after initial appointment.

CAN I CHOOSE MY SHAPE?

Each client receives an in-depth mapping analysis based on the facial structure and personal style. Shape will be approved by client prior to the procedure. Changes may be made prior to start of the semi-permanent pigment implantation.

IS IT REVERSIBLE?

Receiving a permanent cosmetic procedure should be considered carefully and thoughtfully through. Any pigment being placed under the skin is permanent. There are a few different ways to lighten and lessen the pigment, however the results are never guaranteed and can be damaging to the skin.  Do not go into an appointment with the thought that it is reversible.

CAN ANYONE HAVE PERMANENT MAKEUP?

Please be advised that permanent makeup is a form of tattooing and there are some medical conditions and medications that prevent clients from getting the service. If you have any questions, please call. Occasionally, a doctor's note can be accepted for special cases.
